The best way of all to get people to read your email is to become associated in their minds with being a high value sender. This means;

  • You have a track record of sending useful information
  • You send short content rich mails that are easy to understand

 The opposite is low value senders, who have a track record of sending long rambling and/or low interest mails, and poorly targeted recipient lists. These users have a high chance of their mails being deleted unread.
